How we produce the Cascalto Water Feature Guides

Last reviewed: November 8, 2026

Cascalto is software built for commercial water-feature service companies. The Cascalto Water Feature Guides publish practical guides for those companies: water treatment and the health rules; spring commissioning, winterization and equipment; splash pad operation and inspections; and the service contracts, pricing and client reports behind every site.

Where the guides come from

We research each guide from primary sources. These include health departments and public health agencies, legislation and regulations, building and plumbing codes, water suppliers and drought authorities, public tenders and specifications, standards bodies and official statistics for the jurisdiction the guide covers. We link those sources where we use them and list them at the end of the guide, so you can check the information yourself.

Some guides use an example, a filled-in service record or a calculation to show how a decision works. When that example is illustrative rather than taken from a real client site, the guide says so.

How they are written

We use AI tools to help research and draft the guides. Before a guide goes live, we check it against its sources and our publishing standards.

We write each language edition for its own readers, with local units, currency, climate, institutions and examples. We do not translate guides word for word. A guide about the rules in one state, province or country names that jurisdiction, and reading it in another language does not make those rules apply elsewhere.

Cascalto Editorial is the publisher byline for the guides. Where a named person has reviewed a guide, the guide says so.

Dates and updates

Every guide shows the date we published it. When we change a guide substantially, for example because a health rule, a code or a drought restriction has changed, we also show the date of that update. Guides that depend on rules or prices carry a review date, so we know when to check them again.

Corrections

If a figure is wrong, a rule has changed or you think we have missed something, write to support@cascalto.com. We read every report and correct guides when they need it.

Disclaimer

The guides are general information for commercial water-feature service companies. They are not legal, health, engineering, electrical, tax or financial advice. They do not replace advice from a qualified professional or from the health department, regulator or building authority responsible for the sites you look after.

Health, water and building rules differ by country, state, province and municipality, and they change. Where a water management program for Legionella applies, it remains the responsibility of the building owner or operator; Cascalto supports that program with documentation and records and does not certify regulatory or Legionella compliance. Companies remain responsible for meeting the licensing, safety, health and building rules that apply where they work. Check the official sources we link before you act, and take professional advice where you need it.

We take reasonable care to keep the guides accurate, but we cannot guarantee that every guide is complete, error-free or current in every circumstance. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cascalto is not liable for loss arising from reliance on the guides. Links to other websites are for reference, and we do not control those sites.
